019. Raksasa dan Timun Mas - Giant and Cucumber Mas - Jawa Tengah

In a region in Central Java, there lived a woman. Her husband had long passed away. Mom is desperate to have a child. One day, she was given the seeds by a giant cucumber Way. With magic, cucumber grows quickly and instantly fruitful. The fruit is golden. When the cucumber was cut, in which there is a tiny baby girl and beautiful. The baby was named Cucumber Mas. The giant warned that at the age of 17, the child should be handed over to him.

When Cucumber Mas was 17 years old, her mother remembered her promise with over the Giants. Then she told me it was the Cucumber Mas. The giant warned that at the age of 17, the child should be handed over to him. Believe me, God Almighty will help us with wonders. He will hear our prayers, Mom "Cucumber Mas said.

Then came the day the giant came to pick Cucumber Mas. Her mother sobbed. They were both very sad to split up.
Suddenly, there came seven beautiful angel. They gave Cucumber Mas three things, namely cucumber seeds magic, magic needle and salt.

"All three of these things will be very useful for you if you're being chased by a giant" that beautiful angel said.

The next day, it came to pick Giant Cucumber Mas. Cucumber Mas ran and hid in the woods. in her power, it almost caught up with giant Cucumber Mas. Them closer distances. The sun was scorching causing giant thirst. Cucumber Mas sow cucumber seeds spread magical and fruitful garden cucumbers. Giants stopped to eat cucumber to satiate that he could not run fast. When I came to, he pursued Cucumber Mas again.
Cucumber mas needle cast and turned it into a bamboo forest. The Giants are very difficult to pursue Cucumber Mas. Having made it out of bamboo forest, he returned to pursue Cucumber Mas. Cucumber Mas frightened, but she was soon rubbing salt. Then spread sea behind. The giant sink swallowed sea water and died.
On the way back home, Cucumber Mas met a handsome prince. The prince fell in love with her and eventually Cucumbers Mas apply to be his wife.

Cucumber Mas and her mother were taken to the Palace and lived happily until the end.

Di suatu daerah di Jawa Tengah, hiduplah seorang perempuan. Suaminya telah lama meninggal dunia. Ibu ini sangat ingin mempunyai anak. Suatu hari, Ibu ini diberi benih mentimun oleh Raksasa Sakti. Dengan ajaib, mentimun itu tumbuh dengan cepat dan langsung berbuah. Buahnya berwarna keemasan. Saat mentimun itu dibelah, didalamnya ada bayi perempuan yang mungil dan cantik. Bayi tersebut diberi nama Timun Mas. Sang Raksasa mengingatkan bahwa pada usia ke-17, anak itu harus diserahkan kepadanya.

Ketika Timun Mas berusia 17 tahun, ibunya teringat atas janjinya pada sang Raksasa. Lalu ia menceritakan hal itu kepada Timun Mas. Sang Raksasa mengingatkan bahwa pada usia 17 tahun, anak itu harus diserahkan kepadanya.

“Percayalah, Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa akan menolong kita dengan keajaiban-keajaibannya. Dia akan mendengar doa kita, Bu” kata Timun Mas.

Lalu tibalah hari Sang Raksasa datang menjemput Timun Mas. Ibunya menangis tersedu-sedu. Mereka berdua sangat sedih karena harus berpisah.

Tiba-tiba, datanglah tujuh bidadari cantik. Mereka memberi Timun Mas tiga buah benda, yaitu biji timun ajaib, jarum ajaib dan garam.

“Ketiga benda ini akan sangat berguna buatmu jika kau dikejar oleh Raksasa itu” kata bidadari cantik itu.

Keesokan harinya, Raksasa itu datang untuk menjemput Timun Mas. Timun Mas lari dan bersembunyi di hutan.

Dengan kesaktiannya, Raksasa itu hampir berhasil mengejar Timun Mas. Jarak mereka semakin dekat. Matahari yang sangat terik menyebabkan Raksasa itu kehausan. Timun Mas menaburkan biji timun ajaib dan terbentanglah kebun timun yang berbuah lebat. Raksasa berhenti untuk makan buah timun hingga kekenyangan sehingga ia tidak bisa berlari dengan cepat. Saat sadar, ia mengejar Timun Mas lagi.

Timun mas menebarkan jarum yang kemudian berubah menjadi hutan bambu. Sang Raksasa sangat kesulitan mengejar Timun Mas. Setelah berhasil keluar dari hutan bambu itu, ia kembali mengejar Timun Mas. Timun Mas ketakutan, tetapi ia segera menaburkan garam. Lalu terbentanglah laut dibelakangnya. Raksasa itu tenggelam ditelan air laut dan mati.

Dalam perjalanan kembali ke rumah, Timun Mas bertemu dengan seorang Pangeran tampan. Sang Pangeran jatuh cinta pada Timun Mas dan akhirnya ia melamar Timun Mas untuk menjadi istrinya. 

Timun Mas dan Ibunya dibawa ke Istana dan hidup berbahagia sampai akhir hayatnya.
